The extension of the nation-wide lockdown by another two weeks has come down hard on everyone. In times like these, we could all use a little pick-me-up.
Recently, a video of 60 doctors dancing to ‘Happy’ by Pharrel Williams went viral on social media. Titled ‘Song of Hope’, the video was shared by @theministryofmemories on Instagram to emphasize on the importance of mental health during these trying times. It featured 60 doctors from across the country, smiling ear to ear, shaking a leg to the song in their scrubs.
Conceptualized by Dr. Pooja Nadkarni Singh, Dr. Sheetal Sawankar, and Dr. Unnati Mamtora, the caption for the video encourages people to cheer up and mentions that if the doctors, who have been working round the clock, can manage a smile in these difficult times, then so can we.
Ever since it went viral, the video has been winning hearts across the country. There have been multiple reports of violence against doctors across the country and this video is a reminder for people of their selfless contribution.
While we practice social distancing, healthcare professionals are on the frontline, risking their lives every day. Team MyyIndia salutes the doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals who have been fighting tirelessly in this battle against Coronavirus.
